Superior, WI - Sixteen year old Keith Tourville of Star Prairie, WI grabbed his first ever Street Stock feature holding off former WISSOTA National Champion Scott Lawrence who is driving for the injured Scott Herrick. Tourville kept his cool through several caution periods and pulled away to the win.

The first feature up was the 15 lap WISSOTA Late Model event with Brady Smith drawing the Pole alongside Darin Meierotto.  At the green flag Smith bolted to the lead over Meierotto, with Jeff Provinzino, Todd Gehl and Tyler Keyser trailing.  Provinzino popped out of a four wide battle into third with a quick five laps in.  Smith was out to a long lead while Provinzino was trying to hold off Gehl and Keyser for second while Meierotto was back to 6th and ninth starting Darrell Nelson was fifth.

With Smith moving off to a straight away lead ahead of Provinzino and
Keyser, the battle was joined between Nelson and Gehl for fourth.  Nelson squeezed into fourth as behind him a three way battle was joined between Meierotto Don Copp and last week's winner Bill Byholm for sixth.

As Smith crossed the line for his second win of the week, the sixth place battle headed for the line three wide off the fourth turn with Meierotto edging Byholm and Copp.

Dale Gangl, who is the WISSOTA Super Stock track point leader, put a whipping on the field.  Pole sitter Paul Berg shot out to the early lead with Al Uotinen to second over a fast moving Mike Bellefeuille, Joe Oliver and Gangl.  Berg extended his lead as Gangl worked his way to second.  11th starting Darin Meierotto was on the move using the high side of the track and was already up to sixth with five laps in.  Gangl closed on Berg as Meierotto took third while Bellefeuille and Uotinen battled for fourth. Gangl caught Berg and ducked to the inside sliding into the lead off the fourth turn.

Meierotto was still way up there in the high groove and was making it work as he moved to third. Once Gangl got the lead he steadily pulled away to the checkered flag as Meierotto got by Berg in the closing laps for second. Berg, Bellefeuille and Rick Simpson finished in the top five.

Darrell Nelson shot from the inside of the second row to the lead and fought off Dean Yrjanainen for the WISSOTA Modified feature win.  Nelson also went way up high as Kelly Estey moved into third.  With no caution flags the half way point was quickly reached with Nelson leading Estey, Jason Miller and Jeff Hart.  Miller and Hart dueled for fourth as Nelson pulled away.  The first and only caution flag flew when Cory Jorgenson went around in the second turn.

The restart put Yrjanainen right on Nelsons bumper.  Yrjanainen could not get the jump on Nelson and had to fight off Estey for second.  Hart was fourth as Al Uotinen moved up to battle Miller for fifth.  Nelson hung on for the win over Yrjanainen, Estey, Hart and Miller.

Keith Tourville maintained his cool as he won the WISSOTA Street Stock feature.  While there was only one caution flag in the preceding feature events, this one proved to be caution filled.

Several drivers had great runs in the event most notably Tom Brust who was charged with one of the caution flags and sent to the rear.  He was able to work his way forward to finish third while Tom O'Brien, who had pulled off before the green flag start, was able to rejoin the field when a
first lap incident with no laps in enabled him to make repairs and tag on the back of the pack.  He was able to work his way up to fourth at the checkered flag.  First time visitor Roger Fisk finished fifth.
